The deadline for submitting a five line sample to be included in The Sacramento Poem, a book-length renga that will be edited by SPC’s Tim Kahl is December 1.

The long-awaited launch of Ophidian takes place Wednesday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. at The Book Collector.  The Ophidian is an online journal and will feature more than forty poets. 

Ten poets will read at The Book Collector:  frank andrick, Shawn Aveningo, Trina Drotar, Taylor Graham, Pat Hickerson, James Lee Jobe, Cynthia Linville, Carol Louise Moon, Ann Privateer, Henry Reneau, Allegra Silberstein, Sandy Thomas, Be Davison Herrera

Bob Stanley will host Mary Zeppa and Victoria Dalkey at the First Wednesday reading at the Sacramento Public Library – Central Branch on I Street on November 10 from 6- 8 p.m.

Chad Sweeney will be in several places on Friday, November 5.  The regular DifPo poetry group will meet on Friday at 11 to discuss Chad’s latest book, Parable of Hide and Seek.  Chad will also give a reading at the CSUS Library Gallery at 3:00 p.m.   Chad will also be one of many readers at the WORD Festival at the Guild Theatre  (6-11 p.m.)

Rebecca Morrison will host Susan Kelly-Dewitt this Wednesday at the UCD Arboretum at noon.  This reading is free.  This should be an enjoyable way to spend the noon hour.
